I was born into a family of six children. At home, we had a big box where my older siblings stored their toys to pass down to the younger ones. By the time I got to play with this treasure chest, it was just a collection of broken toys and forgotten objects. But to me, they were possibilities. I spent hours creating new characters, inspired by my surroundings.

That instinct to transform discarded materials into something new has never left me. La Caja de Juguetes explores memory, identity, and the immigrant experience, using mixed media and found objects to tell these stories.
